Eero Saarinen designed his iconic #pedestaltable for @knollinc because “the underside of typical tables and chairs makes a confusing, unrestful world.” At least one part of that observation seems fitting as I considered voting in 2020. And it gave me an idea seeing all those “I voted” stickers flying off the roll in voting precincts across the United States.

On November 3, 2020, I introduced the Saarinen Civic Collaboration coffee table: a Knoll Inc Pedestal table base with a marble assemblage surface made by this voter, cut into an ellipse with the same footprint as Saarinen’s original design.
